Inventory/Accounts Payable Clerk -Part Time:
The Receiving/AP Clerk ensures all products are accurately received updating cost and retail pricing as needed. The R/AP Clerk reconciles invoices with received reports and enters invoices with appropriate variances into QuickBooks. R/AP Clerk works with vendors to correct incoming shipping errors and to execute product returns. This is a detail oriented numbers job. Full Job Description
Sales Staff – Part Time:
Sales staff ensure customers needs are met, ring out transactions, assist with stocking, take special orders, answer questions and maintain make sure customer encounter an enjoyable shopping experience and environment. Prior Retail experience is a plus. Applicants may be High School students with open evenings and weekends or adults able to work a flexible schedule.

Inventory Reduction Sale! Starts Friday
Starting at 9am on June 24th Vineyard will be conducting an unprecedented inventory reduction sale. In late July we will be remodeling, so we want to clear out as much inventory as possible. Over a three week period, ALL products will be marked down 10-80%. We need to space to make the changes we have planned and would rather have the items that are now in our store, in your home, not in our way.
A savings opportunity like this will not come along again. Everything will be on sale.

Learn to Weave Palms – April 16
Learn the tradition of palm weaving with guidance from experienced palm weavers. Stop into the store anytime between 11-3 and try you hand at this tradition related to Palm Sunday.

International Competition Yields New Logo for Vineyard
We are delighted to present our new logo. 
The logo is the result of an international competition sponsored by Vineyard Books & Gifts that attracted 19 designers from 13 different countries and every continent except Antarctica. The winning designer, Jake Goodew of GoodGuy Design in
Minneapolis, MN was one of 6 US designers that participated.
Elements of the logo have special meaning. The arched window reflects our Catholic faith found through the Church. The circle with cross reminds us of the Eucharist and Christ’s sacrifice. And the three inner arches of the window reflect our stores three featured product lines: Books, Gifts and Church Supplies.

St. Nicholas Visits Children at the Vineyard
December 4 St. Nicholas paid a special visit to Vineyard Books & Gifts. He told stories to children about his life and his love of Jesus and encouraged them to be generous to others and trust in God. View the St Nicholas Photo Gallery.
Nicholas also shared golden coins which concealed a sweet chocolate treat.
Three different groups of children visited with St. Nicholas. This is the fifth year that St. Nicholas has made a visit. He said he looks forward to another visit next year on the Saturday before his feast day. (The feast day St. Nicholas is December 6th)

Catholic Bible Study for Women
The fall Session of the Catholic Bible Study for women will on the book of Romans.
Dates for the fall Bible study are Sept 23 – Nov, 2010. Study will be hosted at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL, on Thursdays from 9:15-11 AM.
